As a faith based ministry, we teach the development of the spiritual warrior first, physical second. The importance of community service, spiritual maturity, and teaching skills are stressed in parallel with the physical training. This ministry is based on five fundamentals of the Christian Faith:
1. The Bible is the complete, infallible, Word of God.
2. Jesus Christ is God, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity.
3. The virgin birth and miracles of Jesus Christ are historical truth.
4. Christ died a real, substitutionary death on the cross for the sins of the world.
5. Christ arose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and His return is imminent.
Our program is centered around the central theme of:
Be – trusting in Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation
Know – God’s word
Do – everything for Jesus Christ

Lighting the Tiger Lights
We light the Tiger Lights at the end of each session to remind us of how we are supposed to behave once we leave the training area: specifically what we are supposed to be, know and do as Christians.
Be (John 3:16)
For God so loved the world
That he gave His only begotten Son,
That whosoever believeth in Him
Shall not perish
But have everlasting life.
Know (Joshua 1:8)
This book of the law shall not depart from out of thy mouth
but thou shalt meditate on it day and night
that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein,
then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,
Then thou shalt have good success.
Do (Matthew 6:33)
But seek ye first the kingdom of God,
And his righteousness,
And all these things shall be added unto you.
Tiger Lights of Egg Harbor Township Teaching Staff
The structure of the Tiger Lights Martial Arts ministry is as follows:
Each School has an “Old Tiger” who is responsible for the general oversight of the ministry and the teaching.
The “Old Tiger” is assisted by teaching staff referred to as “Big Tigers” who under the authority of the “Old Tiger” provide individual instruction.
The Tiger Lights Story
The Tiger Lights martial arts ministry was founded by the first “Old Tiger” to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to Children. He called the children “Tigers” and their adult instructors “Big Tigers”, using the stripes of the tiger to point to the stripes of Christ, trusting that “with His stripes we are healed.” The “Old Tiger wanted to use the martial arts to teach children that God wants them to trust only in Jesus Christ for their assured and eternally secure salvation, know the Word of God and apply it to how they live their lives, and commit their lives to faithfully serving Christ. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ were to be preeminent.
Knowing that the Word of God is “a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”, three scriptural lights were chosen to outline the Tiger Lights ministry and to give it teaching direction.: John 3:16 for what God wants us to BE – trusting in Jesus Christ: Joshua 1:8 for what God wants is to KNOW – His Word; and Matthew 6:33 for what God wants us to DO – everything for Jesus Christ. Also important to the teaching ministry is the color of the uniforms worn by the Tigers and Big Tiger instructors: red and black worn by the Big Tigers to show the blood of Christ (red) covering the wages of sin (black) and white worn by the tigers showing that God sees those trusting in Christ as already Glorified.
It is our prayer that all our Tigers are known by His stripes!
